Iris Art Photography from £55
Your Iris Holds A Story Only You Can Tell
What is Iris Photography?
Iris photography is a specialized, extreme macro art form that uses high-resolution cameras and unique lighting to capture the incredibly detailed, intricate patterns and colors of a person's iris, transforming it into a unique piece of personalized artwork, much like a fingerprint. It focuses solely on the eye's colored part, revealing textures, fibers, and hues invisible to the naked eye, making each photo a one-of-a-kind artistic representation of individual identity.
Iris Art Photography magnifies that story—transforming the tiny details of your eye into a powerful, personal artwork that celebrates identity, connection, and the beauty of being uniquely you.

FAQ's:
Why does my eye appear a different colour in iris photography?
Your eye color appears different in iris photography because the specialized, controlled lighting and high magnification reveal underlying structures and light scattering (Rayleigh scattering) that aren't visible in everyday conditions, separating the blue base from melanin filters to show true colors like green or hazel more distinctly, while also removing reflections and glare, exposing details that make colors seem richer or subtly different. Essentially, you're seeing the physics of light and melanin interacting, not just the perceived color.
Can you photograph my eye with contact lens in?
No. We need to be able to photography the eye without any barrier between the lens and the eye.
What will I receive?
1 high resolution digital file which is royalty free along with a £15 print credit
Can I purchase additional edits of my Iris?
Yes you can. There will be a £30 editing fee applied for each edit.
Can any child have their iris photographed?
No. I prefer to do Iris photography for children over 5 years old as for this type of photography the child needs to be able to sit very still and follow instructions in order for me to capture the iris.
